graduation ball

the time had come to get all dolled up for ball again. frankly speaking, this was the first and only ball i had been to in uni. all the earlier ones in imu had been with other batches. they didn't really feel like they belonged to our batch. this one, well, not that i knew any more people, haha.. but still it was our ball, the MPharm 2009 graduate ball. of course, shutters started clicking away.

of course, we managed to get some pics with the lecturers too, especially my most favourite lecturer - ian towle. we also took pics with sandy gray and leon.


then came the food~ and also our pharmacy stress ball souvenir. what a creative and apt gift.

on the menu was...
smooth blend chicken liver parfait, red onion marmalade and oatcakes @ chilled galia melon, soft fruits, strawberry and mint syrup

breast of free range chicken, spring onion & bacon skirlie with red wine sauce @ filo parcels of feta cheese, tomato and artichoke

trio of chocolate mousse, cherry compote & chantilly cream @ strawberry cheesecake, chantilly cream & strawberry sauce


after dinner, they cleared the floor and ceilidh began. it was a totally new experience for me. fun too! i especially liked to see alison thompson dance. she was so regal and poised.


after the last dance, the band performed one last song of au lang syne. it was so sad. sigh.. all this leaving stuff is really getting to me.

i couldn't wait to get home though. i was totally exhausted.. and still had to go home and pack and prepare for my parents' arrival the next day. i was glad i went though. after all, it was my graduation ball. =]
