getting cheated by a patient... well, that's a first...

today is the first time i got cheated by a patient.

......

patient came in claiming she dropped her humapen and the cartridge holder broke (split into half to be more exact) which she then threw away. so, being the nice pharmacists we are, we gave her a new pen. just after she left, my senior found out that the cartridge holder was actually stuck in the cover, and the root of the problem was that the aunty had twisted the holder too gengchao-ly until the glass broke and got stuck inside, hence leading to the cartridge not being able to screw in. sweat. had to call the patient back. i actually chased her until out of the clinic, but then i was chasing the wrong person. so well. good thing we take down their telephone numbers. -.-V

anyway, moral of the story is... patients nowadays are tricky...

yesteday, the first round of seremban people in kk had their h1n1 vaccine jab. i had always thought that loadz of people couldn't wait to get their hands on the vaccine, but surprisingly, only 10 people consented to getting jabbed yesterday. i guess, what with 10% side effects of burning, local symptoms, flu-like symptoms including fever, muscle ache, tiredness etc, and 1% of other more rare effects.. (actually, 1% considered rare?? besides, heard got people died too in overseas.. but they make it compulsory for med proffesionals overseas i heard, if not you lose ur job..) anywayz, so just 10 were brave enough to be the guinea pigs in this first round. prps were not considered anyway. but the guineas seemed fine enough to me after jabbing. good sign..

driving back here just now, i really loved the sky, a shade of baby blue, with a golden tinge from the setting sun. nice!

i'm random. i know.

this has been a week which felt so long. maybe coz of the exam on monday, which left me with mixed feelings. anyways, gotta wait 2 months for the results. so might as well not think about it.

my car needs fixing. sigh.. the volume control seems to have a mind of its own. it goes cresendo all of a sudden, up to the volume and at the speed that can get you to reflex jam on your brake. and it doesn't help that my tyres need changing too. or maybe it's the brake. doesn't seem to grip that well when i emergency brake as i always do. okay.. i think the root is i need to drive slower. lots of police on the road these days.

suddenly feel like buying an iphone... iphone.. pda... iphone.. pda.. or just lug those books around and become muscle woman..?? decisions....

and waiting for me this weekend?? need to vomit out our proposal for the research project. can no longer hide behind the excuse of studying for forensic exam. sigh..

i'm finally a MPS member! yay! *leaps for joy*. no, it's not majlis perbandaran seremban, but malaysian pharmaceutical society. they sent me this package with a bound book of journal abstracts, a newsletter, coupled with 2 cds, one bout anti-infectives resistance, one bout h1n1 resources for pharmacists.

which suddenly reminds me.. are they really cutting our salary?? serious shit meh?! and when we have to do night calls and weekend calls and all that too.:(

and i suddenly remember... i sooooo have to brush up on my cantonese speaking skills. after a very painful cantonese counselling session.. even i can't stand to hear myself speak. help...
