TDM stress
today was my first day of TDM. big boss not around, so andrew briefed us on what to do. really very grateful for that, else i would be so lost. even so, we had 7 cases today. 7! that's like the max that they encounter only occationally. what the heck, i guess it's all the better to train us up.
right now, with the thoughts of log book requirements, cases to clerk, case presentation this week?? or topic presentation? follow-up on results tomorrow?? on case for presentation?? post-natal tomorrow, medical chart inspections this week, my research cases to follow up... i'm feeling a mite stress. so i think i'll just grab my copy of undomestic goddess, reread it, laugh my guts out tonight, and have double stress tomorrow.
3 more hours to go only.. boohoo..

low
i have reached a stage where i really have no motivation to do anything. whether it be going out, or taking photos, or even calling up my friends. even though once i get to doing it (whether it being going out or meeting up with friends or taking shots or being in a conversation), i actually do enjoy it. but heck, sometimes i'm even lazy to answer the phone. am i morphing into a hermit or am i just growing old? and this is when all the bugging stuff creeps into my mind, driving me up the wall.
i am surrounded by contradiction.
i need to get a life.

How penang fattens up a person
first stop: we tried the famous beef kuay teow soup opposite bomba. the o jian not bad too.
clock tower
supper at song river, round 2: o jian, zhu hu kangkung, fried kuey teaw, lobak, roti babi, prawn fritters, chicken wings. yumm...
cute fella at hotel lobby
gurney hotel
up close n personal. and d next thing i saw thru d lens was It baring its sharp sharp teeth at me and press its hands on d ground (the action animals do just the second before they pounce). and thru the lens, i suppose It was so much bigger. i don't think i was that far away either since i don't have zoom lens. so well, to say the least, i let out an embarassing shriek.
next time i think i will only shoot close ups of animals with a zoom lens. lesson learnt.
dinner at the stall near aunt's place with my regular drink in penang - barley! really necessary for all the heaty food i will be taking.
dinner had nth special. but supper.. hehe.. here's song river round 1 - fried kuey teaw w'out egg, more damp, and with chilli. plus lobak and prawn fritters.
hotel breakfast.
we even had a flat tire to spice up our trip. no adventour is without its setbacks i presume.
day 2, lunch was at lorong selamat - my favourite ice kacang and kuey teaw soup. best eva! the supposedly famous but rude fried kuey teaw stall had her own shop nowadays, but we did't try it.
at the branch of ayer hitam's nutmeg shop
jelutong market
tea was the famous ayer hitam assam laksa. really didn't let me down. the side dishes fr the nearby stall was not bad also.
dinner was at a hawker centre opposite the methodist girls school or sth. ok la, nth special.
day 3: b'fast was dimsum at the foot of bukit bendera. seremban dimsum, no, dimsum at manchester is still the nicest. hehe..
fundicular tracks leading up to bukit bendera
this in a food court. simply unexpected.
mango salad from a thai stall .. not bad..
day 4: lunch at dunkin donut on the highway back home. quite a lot to digest given that we were all having diarrhoea. haha..
penang is heaven if u know where to go, and plain ordinary if you don't.
anyhow, i didn't bring much back, since i deposited most of what i gained from penang (food) in 11 episodes of diarrhoea on the way back, 7 of which occured within 3 hours. -.-"
so well, it must just mean that i ate well right? hehe..
frankly speaking, right now even the mention of food to me is quite a turn off. i think i have officially overdosed my self with food.
good for losing weight though.;p

the day before, we gals went out for lunch and shopping first. hehe..

when the cake suddenly came out, i do think they were surprised. haha.. it was a big kelam kabut though, coz we forgot to make sure one of us had the mike to sing the birthday song. but all in all, hope they all had a great time.=]
the guy version of 失落沙洲.. not bad also.^^

Singapore trip - yet another backdated post
we met at the train staton full of excitement for our very first trip out of the country. hehe..
the next morning after a very cold and uncomfortable trip (next time by hook or by crook must buy those with beds), we finally reached singapore. =]
Singapore - the land of high-rise buildings..
our first meal in singapore ~~
our room^^ i mean, one of the three rooms in our apartment.
first stop was sentosa island - images of singapore...
this fella was really convincingly super fake. i even poked him a few times and it felt like cushion for legs and rubber for skin. fake wan la i exclaimed, then he suddenly said hi!
our first group shot~
another of the events we went was lunging. it was really fun. hehe..
and came together with a cable ride back up to the top of the hill. so cool~
finally, i managed to see the sentosa wordings for myself. it didn't let me down.
at night, we went to hear the songs of the sea. it was really spectacular indeed~
and ended with an array of fireworks.
for dinner, we had the honour to try the s'pore fried prawn mee thanks to lip kian.
we finally ended our night at clark quay.
next day, we roamed the streets of chinatown.
lunch was a treat by lip kian and his lovely wife. nice meal~ loved almost every dish. esp the chao li li, the crispy tofu with mayo (salivating now!!!), and the chicken. thanks so much for your hospitality!=]
it was our fifth aniversary celebration for circles. hope our friendship stays strong foreva.=]
